I am quickly learning that with boys it is inevitable that on any given day one of them will be broken, scraped, stitched or bruised in some way. Last week we had our first experience with the broken bone. AJ tripped over something and when he fell, he managed to break the two bones in his arm near his wrist. He is a TOUGH kid because when he went to the doctor the next day, he barely winced as the doctor manipulated it. A week later and one x-ray later we learned that he had a "buckle" fracture in the two arm bones near his wrist. He is now sporting an awesome cast and it doesn't slow him down a bit.
Today there was a knife sitting far back on the kitchen counter. Somehow, AJ managed to reach it and knocked it to the floor. Angels were watching over him today. The knife actually flipped and cut the outside of his left eye. Two more millimeters over and it would have gone right into his eyeball. Honestly, I am seriously starting to doubt if these two boys will make it to their 18th birthday alive. I just want to wrap them in bubble wrap until then.
